This cartridge is the Legend 155 Grain SCHP 40 SW. The .40 S&W is a rimless pistol cartridge developed jointly by Smith & Wesson and Winchester. It was developed from the ground up as a law enforcement cartridge designed to duplicate performance of the FBI reduced-velocity 10mm Auto cartridge which could be retrofitted into medium-frame semi-automatic handguns. This cartridge is loaded with a 155 grain solid copper hollow point (SCHP) projectile, a bullet equally at home in hunting, varmint control, home defense, concealed carry and target shooting. An SHCP projectile will not corrode, change shape or cause unwanted pollution, making it an acceptable option in areas which have gone “lead-free,” including ranges and hunting areas.
